Minimum age to hire a car

Airport Surcharge
Car rental from an airport is often slightly more expensive than hiring a car from a local branch. This is because car hire providers pass the cost of their shuttle buses and rental of their location at the airport onto their customers in the form of an airport surcharge. Sometimes the charge may not feature on your booking and you will be asked to pay the charge when you arrive at the airport to collect your vehicle.
Fuel Charge
Most car hire providers request you return the vehicle with a tank full of fuel. If you fail to do this you will be charged an additional fee. This fee is referred to as a fuel charge and usually costs more than if you were to fill the vehicle with fuel yourself. Therefore try and remember to return the vehicle with the same amount of fuel as when you received it.
One way rental fee

Late fee
Most companies offer a 59 minute grace period, this means you will not be charged if you are less than 59 minutes late returning the vehicle. If you are any later than this you will be charged an extra day’s hire. The only way of avoiding this fee is by leaving plenty of time to return your vehicle and plan for any traffic incidences.
Additional Extras
Book additional extras when you book your hire. Providers cannot guarantee child seats and satellite navigation unless you have booked and paid for them in advance.

When you collect your hire vehicle you will need to present a valid Driver’s License, a valid credit card, a second form of identification such as a passport and your booking reference. Failure to produce any of these documents could result in cancellation of your booking.
